Disclaimer

1. General Information

The information provided through the Find a Contract platform ("Service") is for general informational purposes to support UK suppliers in identifying and evaluating public procurement opportunities. The Service is operated by Find a Contract Ltd, registered in England and Wales.

Nothing on this platform constitutes legal advice, financial advice, procurement consultancy, or a recommendation to bid or not bid on any specific contract opportunity. You should always seek independent professional advice before making procurement or business decisions.

2. Procurement Data Accuracy

Contract opportunities, buyer information, award data, and related procurement information displayed within the Service are sourced from UK government open data platforms, specifically Contracts Finder (contractsfinder.service.gov.uk) and Find a Tender (find-tender.service.gov.uk). This data is published by contracting authorities in Open Contracting Data Standard (OCDS) format and ingested into our platform daily.

While we make reasonable efforts to keep the data current and accurate, we do not warrant that the information is complete, correct, or up to date. Contracting authorities are responsible for the accuracy of the data they publish on government platforms. Data may contain errors, omissions, or be subject to delays between publication and ingestion.

You should always verify contract details, deadlines, requirements, and award information directly with the relevant contracting authority or on the original government platform before taking any action. Reliance on information displayed in the Service is at your own risk.

3. AI Analysis Disclaimer

The Service uses artificial intelligence (powered by Anthropic Claude) to generate various analytical outputs, including but not limited to: contract match scores, contract briefs, bid/no-bid assessments, competitor SWOT analyses, and document summaries.

AI-generated content is produced algorithmically based on available data and should be treated as a decision-support tool, not as authoritative analysis. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. They do not account for factors beyond the data available to the system, such as your organisation's internal capacity, relationships, or strategic priorities.

Match scores are calculated using a weighted algorithm based on your supplier profile and contract data. A high match score does not guarantee suitability for a contract, and a low score does not mean a contract should be dismissed. Human judgement must always be applied when interpreting AI-generated recommendations.

4. No Guarantee of Contract Awards

Use of the Service does not guarantee that you will win any public procurement contract. Contract awards are determined solely by the relevant contracting authorities through their own evaluation processes, as governed by the Procurement Act 2023 and other applicable UK procurement legislation.

The Service is designed to help you discover and evaluate opportunities, not to influence procurement outcomes. We have no involvement in or influence over any contracting authority's procurement decisions.

5. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites and services, including government procurement platforms, Companies House, the Care Quality Commission, and payment processors. These links are provided for convenience and informational purposes only.

We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. Accessing third-party links is at your own risk, and you should review the terms and privacy policies of any external sites you visit.

6. FOI Request Assistance

The Service includes tools to help you draft and manage Freedom of Information (FOI) requests under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. FOI letter templates, question packs, and deadline calculations are provided as a convenience to assist your workflow.

We do not guarantee the legal sufficiency or effectiveness of any FOI request drafted using the Service. Template letters and suggested questions should be reviewed and adapted to your specific circumstances. Response deadlines are calculated based on 20 working days excluding weekends and UK bank holidays, but contracting authorities may have legitimate grounds for extension under the Act.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Find a Contract Ltd shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on information provided through the Service, including but not limited to: missed contract deadlines, inaccurate data, AI-generated recommendations, failed bids, or business decisions made based on platform content.

This disclaimer does not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
